Bungie: Reach Could Have Been Halo 4
Halo prequel Reach comes out this fall, but according to Bungie's Brian Jarrard, had things been distinct, you could have been playing Halo 4 instead.
Halo: Reach, Bungie's final examination Halo game, is a prequel solidification before the rest of the serial publication, and shows what LED up to the events of the original Halo. Merely according to Bungie's residential area director Brian Jarrard, Bungie also discussed the idea of making a true sequel to Halo 3.
"Even before the approximation to build a game based around Reach came about, a lot of other concepts were explored," said Jarrard. "Up to and including a proper Doughnut 4, where Master Chief was expiration to wake up from cryo-sleep and we were going to narrate that story." Jarrard said that the idea was shot dispirited fairly early nevertheless, as the team didn't feel really enthusiastic about it: "information technology honourable wasn't A interesting to the team to just gain vigor where that left off and totally the luggage that came with it."
According to Jarrard, Touch is designed to be accessible to both fans of the series, and those who have ne'er played a Halo game before, and that this fresh perspective is proving really breathtaking to the squad: "I intend information technology was a bit bit liberating. Hearing the guys discourse working finished the trilogy and the indebtedness of keeping the themes moving forward and tying them dormie systematically. And ODST was also kinda overnice 'cause they could do something different, something separate, and it's totally someone-contained. I definitely think over that, for Reach, a lot of the Lapplander attitude carried over."
Jarrard also same that the team was mindful that it wasn't going to atomic number 4 able to revisit the serial publication, indeed preferred the idea of looking hindermost in the canon, rather than forward: "We father't want to admissive up a whole bunch of doors that we're not going to come together. By the end of this, it's all going to come to a pleasant, undiluted finish, and if people want to past go play the Halo trilogy, I think over they'll have a better understanding of what's passing on, but it's not required at all."
Halo: Extend to is release on September 14th.
